In collaboration with the Gustav Mahler Society of Colombo, Nuwan introduced Papara into a classical concert setting, aiming to bridge the gap between the two musical worlds. He arranged the well-known Papara standard “Reta Kamu Api Wambatu” for classical brass ensemble, surprising a traditionally classical audience. This performance was part of the “GMSC Brass LIVE” concert held on Saturday, 16 September 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Russian Cultural Centre, Colombo 07.
